The sky looks as though the end of the world is nearing. We have these fires a couple times a year, but this seems extra bad. I can't imagine what it would be like to pack up my most meaningful posessions in a matter of hours, not knowing if you will have a house to return to. Harley would be the first thing I'd grab and then my wedding album. What would you take first? Someday soon, Nate will be battling wildfires like these. That's a scary thought.

Very true! I can't imagine having to be evacuated...
What would I take....well for sure I'd grab Sophia (if she were actually here) and our cat Sammie....then I'd be grabbing our wedding album and my comptuer flashdrive it has all our photos on it...and then a few other pics of our family especially my daddy since those can't ever be replaced :(
I feel so bad for all the families that have lost everything and those that are in danger of losing everything. Thankfully there are men and women like Nate that are willing to fight fires and try to do as much as possible when these fires occur!

crazy fires. no, i didnt grow up in colorado. cousins moved there a few years ago...friends go to grad school there..others moved there for jobs. random for sure. awesome vacation!
it's so scary to think about! I 've often thought of what I'd grab and besides my kids I think I'd grab my pictures and my computer! everything can burn! It's all replaceable and covered by insurance! Nothing else matters!
I know in the end when people lose homes to fires like these they are most grateful to be alive and have their family pets and a photos.
