I can't seem to get into the spirit of Christmas this year. If I had it my way, I would call it off. I just don't feel like dealing with the decorating, shopping, wrapping, crowds, rude people (which I turn into!) or any of it. I think it might have to do with the fact that I don't have a husband to enjoy the season with Monday-Friday and I don't have my own place anymore. I hung up our stockings in our bedroom (the only area of the house that is ours) hoping that it would cheer me up. I think it just made me more depressed. I can't wait for the day when I have a fireplace with a mantle to hang them from. Someday, someday. I can't wait for it to be over. I want to enjoy the week off of work that comes after Christmas, since the week before will be spent shopping and all the other crap that I am putting off and dreading. I am looking forward to New Years Eve though. I don't have any plans yet, but they will definitely involve heavy drinking. Hopefully not as heavy as last year though. I definitely do not want a repeat of pukage in the front yard. Wow, I can't believe that was a year ago! Man time flies. I hope the rest of you are enjoying the season. Blah!

Sorry you aren't feeling the holiday mood...I think the reason I'm so into it is due to all the nieces and nephews ;) But I agree...I hate the shopping and all that crap! People this time of year are annoying!
