School's Out (almost)!!

Just a few more days of work and I am off for summer vacation! Woo hoo! This year was tough for some reason. It wasn't my class. In fact, I had a great bunch this year. Actually, I always do (knock on wood). I think it was because I went back to school this year to work on my master's. It was tough teaching all day and then going to class for 4 hours. Makes for a very long day. I will be done in December, thank goodness. I only have 2 classes left after the one I am currently in. The last couple weeks of school are always tough with report cards to complete, taking the room apart, and keeping crazy, bouncy kids occupied for an entire day. Luckliy the last week is filled with a lot of fun activities.

Although it is great having summers off, I always feel the pressure to get a part-time summer job. Last year, I waited tables. This year, I applied to teach summer school, but didn't get a position. I'm thinking about applying at Peet's or Starbuck's. I was really good about putting away a chunk of my paycheck each month into my summer savings account, but the money is really for a down payment on a house. So, in order to stay away from it, I need to make some extra cash. Plus, a summer job will keep me from going insane from boredom. Nate plans on working over time this summer to make up for me not working, which means he won't be around much.

This summer I plan on going to the gym a lot, hanging out at the pool/beach, reading a lot of books, getting knocked up (cross my fingers), taking some trips to SF, Havasu, and Cabo, working part time, and much more! Yay, summer!
