I should be used to this
I said goodbye to Nate today. He packed up his car and headed up to Bakersfield to start the fire academy. Tomorrow is his first day! I'll see him again on Friday night, which I realize is not that far off, but we have never been apart for that long since we've lived together. I figure if I can handle 2 tours of duty in Iraq, I can handle this. 4 1/2 months of just weekends together will be tough, but not as tough as not seeing each other for 6 months at a time! I know Nate will be great in the academy and I cannot wait for his graduation!

awww I totally feel for you. After doing nearly two years of long distance, you would think a few days would be easy! However when Andrew starts flying international, I don't know how I'll manage being apart for a week or two at a time.
No matter how long you are apart it isn't easy. Hopefully the week goes quickly for you both!! I am sure Nate will do great and I hope we will be able to make the graduation part ;)even for a little bit...:) call if you need anything! love you sweetie :)
you are more than welcome to come over for dinner at our house anytime while nate is away if you are feeling lonely! you can get some baby practice in :)
Ahh!!!I feel for ya!I hate not being with Mike! As much as I think the break would be good I just end up missing him too much!!!You'll both do fine!The time will fly and soon it will be behind ya!
