Happy New Year!

It's the end of another year and the end of a decade. And what a decade it was! I am so excited to say goodbye to 2009 and hello to 2010. 2009 was a very trying year for me and I just know that this new year is going to bring wonderful things. As I look back and reflect on the last 10 years of my life, a lot has happened! Here are the highlights of the last 10 years:

2000-I became a legal drinker and I went to Europe for the 2nd time
2001-The country and the entire world was forever changed on September 11th.
2002-I graduated from CSULB. I also met the man who would later become my husband.
2003-I said goodbye to that man as he went off to serve our country in the Iraq war. Upon his return we got engaged in Maui!
2004-Unbeknownst to our families and friends, we got married in a private ceremony at the Old Orange County courthouse. A few days later I said goodbye to my new husband as he went off to serve overseas once again.
2005-We had our wedding on July 17th. This time it was celebrated with all our friends and families. We also moved in together, got a puppy, and I started my first teaching job.
2006-I got my first new car. An Acura TL. Sweeeeeet
2007-Nothing comes to mind...
2008-We decided it was time to expand our family. I went back to school to get my masters degree. Nate was finally hired onto a fire department. He moved to Bakersfield for 4 months to train and I moved back home with my dad.
2009-Nate graduated from Kern County Fire Department and started his career as a firefighter at station 42 in Bakersfield. He moved in with my dad and me. I finished my masters in Education Administration. We bought our first house! Still waiting on that family expansion....

It's been a great 10 years. Here's to another fabulous 10!

Wow so much has happened in 10 years. Isn't it crazy to think about all that has happened? I know when I did my post on the last 10 years I was surprised at some of the things...
