Here's what it looked like when we first saw the house. Can't you just see why it was love at first sight? Yeah, me either. This pic is one from the actual listing.
Our house reeked of cig smoke so we bought some plug ins to hide the smell until we had a chance to paint. Now we use plug ins to hide the smell of stinky dogs!
You can see the multiple color swatches I put up to decide on the paint color. It was such an ordeal painting the bedroom. We wanted gray and decided on 2 shades, one wall being darker for an accent wall. It took several gallons because I kept changing the shade. It ended up being pretty blue, but we like it. Hardwood floors are almost done.

Here's the finished paint. It looks a lot lighter in pics. I love how the lighter color changes shades throughout the day.
Art is hung, bed is made, and night stands are decorated with cute lamps. The only thing missing is something for above the bed, which we are undecided on. I'm a little hesitant to hang anything over the bed in fear of having it crash down on my head in my sleep. But I think the wall is too bare without anything.
Nate painted all the doors and added new trim and knobs.
New dresser and new TV! We will be hanging the TV on the wall and adding some decorative items on the dresser.
The lamp looks like it's illuminated, but it's just the flash from the camera. They actually aren't even functioning yet because the outlets on that wall don't work. It's on our to do list.

This frame is one of the first things we bought when we got the house. It is also one of the first things we hung up. A year later, I still have yet to put anything in it. I eventually want to get a mirror cut for it.
I hope you enjoyed our little bedroom tour. There's still a long to do list which includes:- Find and hang something over the bed
- Get a mirror cut for our frame
- Mount the TV on the wall
- Fix outlets
- Caulk and cover nails on baseboards and door trim.
- Replace rug (it's already ruined by our pups, as are the hardwood floors :(
- Get decorative items (vases, etc) for dresser
I will post more pics as more projects are done.
