I had the hardest time picking out paint colors for the new house. This is how many samples it took me to decide the color for just 3 areas of the house (master bed, living room, and hall). There are even more samples for the other 2 bedrooms. Most of these samples are gray. We wanted to paint our bedroom 2 different shades of gray. It is so hard to find a good gray. Most of them look blue. We finally decided on two that we thought actually looked gray. That was until we painted the entire room. We basically have a blue room. It looks pretty good though. While I am happy with the colors I ended up picking, I feel like I played it a little safe. Most of the colors are very neutral. Kind of boring. Oh well. Here's what we ended up with:
Living Room-Benjamin Moore Bleeker Beige*
Hall-Benjamin Moore Manchester Tan*
Master Bedroom-Benjamin Moore Shaker Gray and Sterling*
Guest Bedroom-Restoration Hardware Silver Sage*
Master Bath-Benjamin Moore Sterling*
Guest Bath-Behr Brown Teepee
Office-TBD
*All colors matched by Behr
The only color we picked without getting a sample first was the bathroom. Maybe it was the name that persuaded us. Brown teepee! That's what you make in a bathroom, right? Ewwww.
Pics to come (of the paint colors, not the brown t.p.)!
